Why is this band important?

American popular music genre forever had a robust influence over Korean popular music genre from the terribly starting. Most major trends in K-pop - the arrival of rock n' roll in Choson, for instance - had a precursor trend within the u.s. That occurred a couple of years earlier, that was later trickled into Choson and adjusted to suit the native sensibilities. However, starting in mid-1990s, the flow became abundant, rather more accelerated. The solid was riding the start of that wave. The 3 members of Solid were Korean Americans from CA, and arguably those who started off the steady stream of Korean Americans who hit it massive in Korean popular music genre scene -- a significant trend in K-pop in its claim.

A few K-pop artists tried out R& B before Solid's look, however, none were as committed to the genre as Solid was. With smart voice and hefty (albeit not essentially overwhelming) talent, Solid managed to popularize R&B as a genre in Choson. Properly speaking, Solid's music was OK, however, not precisely earth-shattering. However, that they had enough talent and therefore the "it" issue to popularize an entirely new quite music in Choson -- the sort can press on to forming a significant branch (or maybe sub-branch) of K-pop, paving the means for additional gifted musicians to pursue the genre and remodel it to replicate Korean sensibilities. (For example, Brown Eyes.) whereas no R& B creative person in Choson could properly be known as "world-class" at this point, the day once a best Korean R& B creative person emerges, doesn't appear to be too far flung, considering the globally increasing quality and likewise increasing quality of K-pop. And once that day will return, that creative person can have Solid to convey.
